  6. Those who are selected for auditions will be required to present a 25-minute recital which will be judged by the Music Advisor, Music Co-ordinator and by a panel comprising of independent adjudicators. Other Trustees may attend the final auditions but will not take part in the adjudication process.

  7. There will be a non-refundable application fee of £10, payable by or on behalf of each applicant. This will be applied to defray the costs of the Foundation’s administration of the assessments and auditions. Any surplus will be applied to the Foundation’s charitable objects.

  8. All applicants must declare whether they have applied for or intend to apply for assistance from any other trusts or foundations for the same project.

  9. The amount awarded for each award, prize or grant will be determined after the assessment of each individual based on his/her performance during the auditions.

  10. Payment for all awards will usually be paid direct to the provider of services for the music project. However, awards may, at the discretion of the Trustees, be made directly to the individual applicant.

  11. Please note that grants are not awarded for the purchase or repair of instruments, or for routine undergraduate fees.

  12. Due to generous sponsorship, each 2009 selected finalist will receive a minimum £50 travel bursary.
