You are required to submit the following:

1.        a biography or C.V. including:

 
  • places of education schools, colleges, universities or conservatoires (as appropriate) you have attended or are attending.
 
  • a list of examinations taken (if any) with dates and results of each.
 
  • a list of teachers and dates of study with each.
 
  • name, date and results of any competitions in which you have competed.
 
  • details of any solo concert experience and of any future solo engagements.

2.        complete details of the project application together with approximate costs involved.

3.        two references, one from your current teacher and one from a prominent professional musician.

These must be provided by the referees under sealed cover.

4.        a cassette or CD containing at least 20 minutes of your own performance which has been recorded live and unedited within the last six months. The programme must include at least three contrasting works from different periods including at least one work composed before 1827 and at least one work composed after 1920. Please note, as these will not be returned, it is essential to send a copy and not the original master. The submitted cassette or CD of the applicants chosen for the final audition may be retained by the Foundation for its records.

5.        a proposed recital programme of 25 minutes for the final stage. The programme must include at least two contrasting works and cannot include works submitted on the cassette or CD for the preliminary assessment.

6.        a non-refundable application fee of £10 together with a stamped return addressed envelope to an address in the U.K.

Please make cheques or money orders crossed ‘a/c payee only’ to The Ricci Foundation.

NOTE: Applicants will not receive an acknowledgement if they do not enclose a stamped

addressed envelope.

7.        all applicants must sign the consent form printed with this application form. In the event you are under the age of 18, this consent must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

8.        all completed application forms and references should be addressed by prepaid post to:

The new Data Protection Act requires us to obtain your consent before we can process and maintain the personal data contained on the Application Form. Everything you and your referees tell us will only be used for the purpose of processing your application enabling you to compete for a Ricci Foundation award, and if you are successful, to consider you for concert opportunities with your consent. We should be grateful, therefore, if you would sign and date the declaration below. In the event of applicants under the age of 18, this consent must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

The information in this form and any enclosures is correct to the best of my knowledge and belief. I hereby consent to the personal data contained therein being processed and maintained by The Ricci Foundation for the purposes of administering any application for a prize, award or grant from charitable funds and to consider opportunities for concert experience. I understand that The Ricci Foundation will keep this data for as long as is necessary. Should you wish to share it with any other individual or charity if you believe this might help to meet my needs, you will obtain my written permission first.
